Ty Johnson started American Renascent Center back in 1982. His organization has been creating various unique projects and programs such as transitional / Supportive Housing, mental health lectures, peer and family mental health support meetings, and unique humanitarian social programs that not only support families struggling with various mental health issues but empowers local communities. Says Ty: “I truly believe that if we search our heart and soul there lies a deep compassion that compells each and every one of us to become our brother’s keeper and within this compassion lies the answers and cures to most of our personal suffering.”
